Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard has raved about reported Liverpool target Erling Haaland on Stadium Astro.
Odegaard, who joined Arsenal on a permanent contract from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, plays with Haaland for the Norway national football team.
The 22-year-old playmaker has said that the Borussia Dortmund star is one of the best strikers in the world.
90min reported this week that Liverpool are among the clubs who have spoken to Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola about a potential move for the 21-year-old.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.
Odegaard said about Haaland on Stadium Astro: “We have a decent striker. He will score some goals.
“We have a great connection on and off the pitch. We are lucky to have him, one of the best strikers in the world at the moment, so we are lucky.”
Erling Haaland to Liverpool?
Okay, we can safely say that Haaland will not leave Dortmund in the January transfer window.
Dortmund are playing in the Champions League this season and are also aiming to win the Bundesliga.
The German club will simply not sell the Norway international in the middle of the season.
Could a transfer happen next summer?
Dortmund sold Jadon Sancho to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The German club do sell their best players, but Liverpool will have to spend a lot of money, not just in transfer fee but in wages as well.
Haaland has scored five goals and provided three assists in four Bundesliga matches so far this season, and scored 27 goals in the league and 10 goals in the Champions League in 2020-21.
