Jamie Carragher has said on Sky Sports Premier League (8:34pm, September 17, 2021) that Leeds United star Rodrigo was outstanding in the first half against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this evening.
Newcastle are playing against Leeds at home in the Premier League at the moment.
It is 1-1 at half time.
Raphinha put Leeds in the lead in the 13th minute when he found the back of the net with what appeared to be a cross.
The Brazilian winger picked the ball up out wide and curled in a wonderful cross with his left foot.
Rodrigo decided to step over the cross, and his dummy was a big reason why the ball went past Karl Darlow.

The Spain international, who can operate as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder, was involved in a very good chance for Mateusz Klich in the 33rd minute when he put in a brilliant pass for Raphinha.
It was at that moment when former Liverpool defender Carragher, working as a co-commentator for the match on Sky Sports, described Rodrigo as outstanding in the first half.
Carragher said on Sky Sports Premier League (8:34pm, September 17, 2021): “What a pass that is from Rodrigo! He has been outstanding in this first half.”
In the first half against Newcastle, Rodrigo took one shot which was not on target, played two key passes, had a pass accuracy of 81.8%, won one header, took 30 touches, and attempted two dribbles.
