BTS V has been inactive for most of 2021. So, whenever he appears online to chat with BTS ARMY or play games with fans, it’s a cause for celebration.

On September 17th, Taetae came online and saw a fan’s comment. The fan said: “I miss Taehyungie! Our teddy bear you have to be happy and healthy every day whenever and wherever (you are). I will always cheer on for you! I love you!”

To the fan’s surprise, the ‘Winter Bear’ crooner responded to the comment saying ‘Lovely Jubbly.’

Meaning of ‘Lovely Jubbly’

After coming across this quirky phrase, BTS ARMY explored the meaning of BTS V’s Weverse comment ‘Lovely Jubbly’ and where it came from.

According to BBC UK, the phrase is “a jocular exclamation”.

“It means excellent, brilliant, great. It’s the sort of thing you’d say when you got some good news or had a stroke of luck, ‘ah, lovely jubbly’.”

The site further explains that although the phrase existed before the sitcom ‘Only Fools and Horses’, it became extremely popular in the 1990s when Dell Boy used it. It gets its origin from an ice lolly titled ‘Jubbly’ which was popular in the 1950s and the catchphrase was ‘Lovely Jubbly.’
