Liverpool’s first team beat AC Milan on Wednesday evening, just hours after Harvey Davies turned in a strong display for Liverpool’s Under-19’s.
The Reds clinched a big win, coming from 2-1 down to claim a 3-2 win over Milan at Anfield.
That win came hours after Liverpool’s Under-19’s were in action, playing Milan in the UEFA Youth League.
The game took place at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre, and Liverpool clinched a 1-0 win.

Max Woltman’s early goal handed Liverpool the win. Owen Beck made a great run up the left flank, before cutting back for Woltman to score.
Liverpool couldn’t find a second goal to kill the game off. Kaide Gordon had a couple of openings, but just couldn’t find the net.
Fortunately, Liverpool managed to keep a clean sheet, securing a 1-0 win.
That win, combined with the senior victory later in the day, made this a great day for Liverpool.
Mellor praises Liverpool talent Harvey Davies
Davies made a number of fine saves for Liverpool. Jordan Amore cut in from the left before having a curling effort saved by Davies.
Youns Gabriele El Hilali had a shot smothered by Davies, preserving Liverpool’s clean sheet.
Arguably the finest save of the lot came later on as Davies plucked Enrico Salvatore Di Gesu’s header away from the top corner of the net.
Gabriele Alesi had a long-range strike saved by Davies, and Liverpool secured the win.
Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor took to Twitter to call 18-year-old Davies ‘outstanding’, with the LFC TV pundit very impressed.
