Erling Haaland was full of praise for Jude Bellingham last night as the reported Liverpool target stole the show for Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking to BT Sport via the Mirror after last night’s UEFA Champions League win against Besiktas, the Norwegian superstar was lost for words over how Bellingham performed. The midfielder scored and assisted in a 2-1 win for the Bundesliga side.
Bellingham’s first-half goal meant that the former Birmingham City star is now the youngest player in Champions League history to score away from home.
Indeed, Liverpool are reportedly interested in Bellingham next summer. The England international continues to go from strength to strength with Dortmund, and Haaland loved what he saw from the teenager in Turkey last night.
The former RB Salzburg star said: “He was amazing. He’s 18, three years younger than me, it’s crazy, what can I say? He’s amazing. He is 18-years-old and plays so incredibly well. He is fantastic.”
With Liverpool reportedly keen on both Bellingham and the £68m-rated Haaland, the Reds face an almighty battle with other clubs around Europe to sign the duo.

Dortmund’s two young guns are no doubt some of the highest-rated youngsters in Europe. And for Liverpool, Bellingham could be a player who can lead and thrive in their midfield for many years to come.
With a replacement yet to come in for Georginio Wijnaldum, Bellingham could be the long-term answer Liverpool are looking for when summer 2022 rolls around.
