FIFA 22 is just around corner, yet for Aston Villa fans, there’s already controversy surrounding some of the new player ratings.

Early leaks of the game via Delta FIFA have revealed that Ollie Watkins, who was last season’s Villa top scorer and received an England call-up due to his form, will only be rated a 78. Whilst Danny Ings and Leon Bailey were both given higher ratings.

Emi Martinez takes the trophy of ‘Villa’s highest-rated’ player in FIFA 22. Yet whilst this is not too surprising, Watkins’ surprisingly low rating is to supporters.

The former Brentford star was a menace in his debut year in the Premier League. Moreover, Watkins played a key role in helping Villa finish as high as they did in 10th place.

But according to the football overlords at EA Sports and FIFA, the Villa star will have a lower rating than a good number of Premier League strikers.
