Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been given an overall rating upgrade for FIFA 22 – but some fans still aren’t best pleased.
Bamford enjoyed a stunning Premier League campaign with Leeds last season. Despite blowing hot and cold in the Championship, he was on fire in the top flight.
Bamford finished last season with 17 goals in the Premier League. He has also just landed a first England cap against Andorra.
The 28-year-old is one of the Premier League’s best strikers now, and Leeds fans have been wondering about Bamford’s FIFA 22 rating.
Bamford’s FIFA 22 rating
Bamford started FIFA 21 at just 71 overall. He picked up better Ultimate Team cards during the season, and ended FIFA 21’s offline modes at 78 overall.
His original FIFA 21 card wasn’t very flattering. 71 pace, 69 shooting, 63 passing, 70 dribbling, 34 defending and 71 physical.
For the start of FIFA 22, Bamford’s rating starts at 78.
Bamford’s stats have been upgraded. 73 pace, 78 shooting, 67 passing, 73 dribbling, 42 defending, 77 physical.
Every single aspect of Bamford’s game has been upgraded – but Leeds fans are still unhappy.
Leeds fans react to Bamford rating
Bamford being a 78 overall means he is still behind Rodrigo. Rodrigo started FIFA 21 at 82 overall, but has been knocked down to 79 overall.
That means the Spaniard is still ahead of Bamford, with Leeds fans baffled.
Some believe that Bamford’s FIFA 22 rating is ‘shocking’ and a ‘joke’.
Others can’t believe Rodrigo is still ahead of Bamford in the FIFA ratings despite Bamford having a much better campaign last season.
A major point of contention is Bamford’s pace, which Leeds fans believe is far too low.
