Joe Rogan pays tribute to Norm Macdonald
A wealth of celebrities, fans, and friends have taken to social media to pay respects to the late Norm Macdonald.
Controversial podcast personality, Joe Rogan, penned an Instagram message in tribute to the comedian.
Alongside a photograph of Macdonald, the podcaster wrote: “Truly one of the greats. RIP.”
Is Joe Rogan a fan of late Norm Macdonald?
It appears as though the 54-year-old was quite fond of the comedy giant.
In fact, Rogan often spoke about Norm, recalling hilarious andectoes between the two.
During one clip, Rogan says that Norm had told him that he’d quit smoking cigarettes.
The podcaster then continues: “We land, and he immediately walks right into a gift shop and buys cigarettes.
“He goes, ‘I’ve changed my mind’, and he’s lighting before he gets out the door. He’s so impulsive…
“There’s people out there that are, like, pretending to be wacky, [he’s really wacky]. I love those people.”
Celebrities pay tribute to late comedian
Joe Rogan isn’t the only famous face paying respects to Norm Macdonald.
Jim Carrey tweeted: “My dear friend Norm MacDonald passed after a brave 10 year battle. He was one of our most precious gems. An honest and courageous comedy genius. I love him.”
John Cleese wrote: “There are very few really funny people Norm MacDonald was one of them It’s infuriating to learn that his comedy was interfered with by the usual clueless executives.”
Steve Byrne took to Twitter: “Norm Macdonald has taken the most negative, jaded and narcissistic community, stand up comedians, to collectively agree on one thing today: how damn talented and loved Norm Macdonald was, is and will continue to be.”
