They mocked Elliott’s inability to walk after Pascal Struijk’s challenge left his ankle hanging off at Elland Road.

In response, the teenager wrote the following on TikTok.

Liverpool fans will also love his use of emojis here, as he gives the Manchester United fan the ‘six times’ gesture.

It’s good to see Elliott standing up for himself, against what was a truly awful message following a distressing moment for him.

We hate to be the ones to say it, however, but Liverpool’s No.67 is wrong.

In the last eight years, Manchester United have won the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup – nevertheless, it’s still a great comeback.

Just by his demeanour on the pitch, and also his fiery response to the aforementioned message, you can tell Elliott has the fire in his belly to succeed.

It’s what all great footballers need. Wayne Rooney had it, Steven Gerrard had it, as did Paul Gascoigne.

In an age where many footballers have been sanitised and media trained, it’s nice to see some spikiness come from the feisty Elliott.

As a result of having such character, you can be sure this setback will only make the prodigy more hungry to succeed once he’s back.

Elliott will undoubtedly be desperate to make up for lost time, which could see Liverpool gain a seriously motivated player.
