American drama series Games People Play premiered its first season back on April 23, 2019 on BET. The show was renewed for a comeback on November 13, 2019, however, fans are still waiting to see the second wind over two years later.

Based on the novel ‘Games Divas Play’ written by Angela Burt-Murray, the narrative is set within the world of professional sports, where there are only winners. The ensemble cast presents the lives of various professionals, including a reporter, basketball player, and housewife, but the main premise follows Nia, Vanessa, and Laila, alongside their relationships with the men in their lives.

Games People Play Season 2 Release Window

BET renewed Games People Play back in 2019, but radio silence has since surrounded the project and fans have no idea when season 2 will be airing.

Since its renewal, various reports have all banked on a 2021 release, but with the end of the year approaching and no update to speak of, there’s a chance we won’t see season 2 until 2022.

Other reports also stated that the show was meant to premiere on September 1, 2021, but that date came and went with no whisper of a release.

The only update that was posted back in September 2020, confirmed that Karrueche Tran was joining the cast of season 2, alongside Lauren London in a limited role.

Season 1 consisted of 10 episodes, each running around 41 minutes, and we can expect season 2 to follow a similar pattern.

Games People Play Season 2 Plot

Little is known about the season 2 plot for Games People Play, however, there are a few crumbs to gather.

It was reported that one of the directors involved in season one stated that the first season was more of a trailer for the second inning, where the drama is set to get a lot thicker. Other whispers surrounding the plot claim that the show will up the ante in terms of tension as the stakes get higher.

Karen Oblion, Parker McKenna Posey, Sarunas S. Jackson, Jackie Long, and Kendall Kyndall are all expected to return as series regulars for season 2.
