Season 6 of Lucifer has welcomed actress Brianna Hildebrand as Rory, Lucifer’s daughter. The show has featured musical performances from the Devil himself, but does Rory have a stage herself?
*Warning: Lucifer season 6 episode 6 spoilers*
Over the years, Lucifer has welcomed countless guest stars, including Dennis Haysbert as God, Tom Welling as Marcus Pierce and even Sharon Osbourne for a cameo!
The sixth and final season of Lucifer introduces viewers to Brianna Hildebrand as Rory, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe’s (Lauren German) half-human, half-angel daughter from the future.
The father-daughter bond doesn’t get off to a great start after Rory is resentful since Lucifer isn’t the most supportive parent.
We know that the show likes to dabble in music, with Tom occasionally singing whilst playing his grand piano. Also, who could forget that one episode in season 5 where the entire cast breaks out into song and dance every five minutes, like it was High School Musical?
Brianna is known to be singer-songwriting as well as an actress, so does she sing in the final season of Lucifer?
Does Brianna Hildebrand sing in Lucifer?
Yes, the 25-year-old does sing in Lucifer, in the last five minutes of episode 6 to be exact.
In an attempt to make up for lost time, Lucifer performs You Got It by Roy Orbison at Lux, in a Broadway-worthy stage accompanied by glittery showgirls.
Motorbikes, alcohol and drugs are just some of the things the loving father promises Rory, but obviously, it doesn’t end as expected (to Lucifer), since he’s simply showering her with materialistic goods without asking what she truly desires.
The duos next meeting is in his luxurious apartment, where he finds Rory singing Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel, whilst playing the guitar.
The Devil joins the number by accompanying her on the piano – at least they share this intimate father-daughter moment.
Brianna Hildebrand’s music career explored
This isn’t the first time the 25-year-old actress has sung on a soundtrack: in 2020, she sang We Belong and Passenger Seat for her teen drama Trinkets. You can listen to her on Spotify and Apple Music.
Aside from Lucifer and Trinkets, she does have one collaboration with Texan alternative folk artist T.M Schiller, called What Would You Say?
The rest of her musical talent can be seen from her short acoustic covers on Instagram.
There are a few cover videos circulating online since fans have uploaded them to YouTube, but since they’re all under one minute long, it looks like Brianna has never recorded a complete version for fans.
Those who only know Brianna as Negasonic Teenage Warhead from Deadpool probably didn’t know that the actress has quite a set of pipes!
