It seems all is good in Nollywood this year…
When prompted to think of the film and television industry, our minds are often cast to Hollywood and the biggest names in cinema, from Dwayne Johnson to Scarlett Johansson.
However, there’s so much more than just American blockbusters to explore, and in recent years some audiences have found themselves gravitating to product from the Nigerian film industry.
The term Nollywood was coined in a New York Times article back in the early 2000s and, although its concrete definition has been debated, viewers have found it a useful umbrella term to help categorise lots of Nigerian entertainment.
Castle and Castle arguably falls into this category and is a show fans have hailed as an unexpected but welcome discovery in the last few years.
Fortunately, more episodes have finally arrived, so here’s where to watch Castle and Castle season 2 right now.
Where to watch Castle and Castle season 2
The second season of Castle and castle is available to stream exclusively on Netflix from Wednesday, September 15th 2021.
There are six episodes to work through in total, which is substantially less than what season 1 offered with over double that (13 episodes).
The series originally premiered back in 2018 and introduced audiences to a pair of successful and married lawyers grappling with defending on opposite ends of justice. As a result, they find their marriage plagued by the consequences.
It’s interesting to see that the courtroom-based legal drama has found quite the home on Netflix, becoming a hit with its first season.
In fact, Nollywood Insider earlier highlighted that the show from popular TV network Ebonylife TV was trending on the platform, rising to the rank of #3 on the Nigerian rankings.
“Mo Abudu, why this?”
As expected, a number of fans have hopped onto Twitter to share their excitement at the arrival of season 2.
However, not everybody is happy with the fact that there are only six episodes.

The cast and crew must have been thrilled to learn that Netflix gave the series a second life of sorts.
