Granit Xhaka has stated on Instagram ‘all the best brother’ to David Luiz after he arrived at new club Flamengo after leaving Arsenal this summer.

The 34-year-old left Arsenal when his contract expired, and just like Willian, he moved back to Brazil.

Whilst Willian joined Corinthians after ripping up his Arsenal contract, Luiz will be battling on the other side with Flamengo.

It was the right move for both to leave North London, and in truth, they shouldn’t have been signed up in the first place.

Perhaps that is what frustrates the supporters that on a number of occasions they have decided to sign Chelsea players past their sell-by-date.

And whilst that was the feeling before those individuals arrived, many of them showcased that through their performances for the club.

Nonetheless, when Luiz posted about arriving in Flamengo, his former teammate, Xhaka, reacted on Instagram with a simple four-word message: “All the best brother.”

Whilst Luiz and Willian have departed Arsenal, they are still suffering the same problems under Mikel Arteta.

Even though they picked up their first win of the season over the weekend, they are still sitting in the bottom half and wondering what will be of their season.

The key thing for Arteta is that Gabriel and Ben White played during the 1-0 win at Norwich.

And it seems as though that is the preferred pairing for Arteta going forward.
