Is Bashurverse dead?
Bashurverse’s sister, Anesa Ashur, confirmed that her brother is dead. The news regarding the YouTuber’s death was announced on her Facebook account, which has now been taken down.
However, her heartwarming note for her late brother has been shared by one of his fans on Reddit. Anesa has revealed in her post that her brother passed away due to COVID-19.
The devastated sister spoke about her brother’s achievements over the years while mourning his passing at the age of 36.
“You are one of the strongest people I know and pushed through no matter what the Internet said, no matter what people wanted to think, you proved how amazing a soul you are. I love you to the moon and back,” her posts read.
Why was Bashurverse missing from social media?
One of the reasons why Bashurverse’s death came as a shock to fans was his long absence from social media.
The YouTuber was embroiled in a controversy in 2014 after allegedly being involved with minor girls from when he was in high school. He continued to post videos on his YouTube channel until 2015, but then blocked two of his accounts and removed himself from all social media platforms including Twitter, Twitch, and Facebook.
In 2017, fans spotted a new Twitter account under the name of @TheBrandonAshur, which claimed it belonged to the YouTuber. The anonymous user further claimed he was launching his YouTube channel.
However, it was later revealed that the YouTuber never returned to Twitter and the account that spoke about his return wasn’t real.
