Everton were ever so impressive against Burnley on Monday evening, and one player who certainly caught the eye was Demarai Gray.

The winger found the back of the net for the third time this season, and he ran the Clarets’ defence ragged all evening.

The former Leicester man has been lighting up the Premier League this term, and he’s impressed Toffees legend Gary Lineker, who took to Twitter to give his view on the 25-year-old.

Lineker says that Gray has always had bags of potential, and it seems as though he is now finally realising it.

The Match of the Day pundit believes Gray could be the bargain of the season if he keeps this up, but there’s an argument to be made that he already is.

£1.5m is peanuts in football these days, and after three goals, he’s already paid that back.

Regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, you have to say that Gray was signed for a brilliant price, and if he keeps this up he could go down as one of the greatest signings in Everton’s history.

The sky is seemingly the limit for the Toffees this season, and there’s no telling just how far Rafa Benitez can take this team.
