After new photos of Rihanna from a photoshoot went viral, fans online began to speculate that the Diamonds singer is pregnant with boyfriend ASAP Rocky’s baby.
ASAP Rocky confirmed their relationship in May this year, when he referred to Rihanna in an interview as “the love of my life” and “my lady.”
Here are all the fan theories on Rihanna being pregnant, and whether or not we think they carry any truth to them…
ASAP Rocky discusses being a dad
In an interview this May with GQ, ASAP Rocky opened up about his relationship with Rihanna and his thoughts on having a family one day.
The rapper said: “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely…I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.”
ASAP and Rihanna’s friendship goes back a few years- A$AP Rocky opened for Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour in 2013, and more recently featured in her 2020 Fenty Skin campaign.
When asked what it feels like being in a relationship, ASAP explained:
“So much better. So much better when you got ‘the One.’ She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones.”
Fans share theories that Rihanna is pregnant
After new photos of Rihanna from a photoshoot went viral, fans online began to speculate that the superstar is pregnant with ASAP Rocky’s baby.
However, while some fans are convinced that the pop star is pregnant, others are less than certain, explaining that she does not look pregnant in her latest photoshoot and maybe just had a big meal.
Women in the spotlight face such scrutiny over their appearance, have we not learnt how damaging it can be to assume someone is pregnant just based off of how they look in an outfit or a photograph?
One fan summarised it perfectly when they tweeted:
“Every year since 2010 people starts this “Rihanna is pregnant” rumour because they believe they saw a bump, and each time they’re proven wrong. If others were to say y’all were pregnant using that same belly size standard, you know y’all would be so offended.”
Until Rihanna confirms any news of her pregnancy herself, we are going to just wait and see.
