MGK might have been the man of the hour at the 2021 VMA’s. From his debut performance to his heated altercation with Conor McGregor, Machine Gun Kelly is definitely dominating award show talk. But, did he actually win a VMA award?

Kelly made his MTV Video Music Awards debut, performing his song Papercuts.

Machine Gun Kelly attends 2021 VMA’s

Megan Fox and MGK were the standout couple at the 2021 VMA’s, and the actress had her S/O’s back the whole time.

Attending together, the couple dressed head to toe in glitzy attire, with Kelly sporting a sparkling red suit and Fox dressed in custom Mugler.

All was going well for MGK until things got heated with fellow attendee, Conor McGregor. According to TMZ, Conor reportedly spilled his drink before he allegedly chucked the rest of it at MGK who was nearby on the red carpet.

It’s not completely clear what happened, but McGregor reportedly later denied the ordeal. In talks with Entertainment Tonight, he said: “Nothing happened with me.

“I only fight real fighters. People that actually fight. I certainly don’t fight little vanilla boy rappers. I don’t even know the guy. I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”

Did MGK win a VMA Award?

Machine Gun Kelly did win a 2021 VMA Award.

Despite all of the McGregor drama, MGK emerged victoriously as the 2021 winner of MTV’s Best Alternative video for “My Ex’s Best Friend (feat. Blackbear).”

Accepting the award, the 31-year-old told the crowd: “Shout out to the emo kids.”

Competitors for the Best Alternative video category included Stop Making This Hurt, Heat Waves and Follow You, amongst others.

It looks as though the rapper’s girlfriend, Megan Fox, actually predicted the VMA win. Prior to the announcement, the actress took to Instagram to write: “Daddy’s gonna win a VMA.”

He did win, indeed!
