Rio Ferdinand has praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli on BT Sport 1 (11:51am, September 11, 2021).
The former Manchester United defender has said that Tottenham midfielder Alli now looks physically very strong.
The pundit made the comments while analysing Alli playing as a number 8 for Spurs under head coach Nuno this season.
Ferdinand said about Alli on BT Sport 1 (11:51am, September 11, 2021): “Physically he can overpower, he can dominate, he can outrun most players around. Physically he is a machine, he is a specimen.”
Getting back to his best
Alli did not play well for Tottenham against Crystal Palace in the London derby this past weekend.
To best honest, not many of the Spurs players actually did well in the Premier League game which the North London outfit lost.
However, there can be no denying that the 25-year-old has done well for Spurs this season.

Tottenham head coach Nuno has largely used Alli in a deeper role in midfield with the freedom to burst forward.
The Spurs no.20 has scored one goal in four Premier League appearances so far this season.
Alli is not at his best yet, but it is clear that Spurs head coach Nuno rates him highly and will give him a run of games.
And that’s exactly what the midfielder needs to get back to his best.
