Gary Neville has raved about Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on his podcast and has compared him to Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo after his performance against Leeds United at Elland Road.
The former United defender has said that Liverpool ace Salah is single-minded about scoring goals just like Ronaldo is.
The Sky Sports pundit made the comments about the Egypt international forward after his heroics against Leeds at Elland Road yesterday.
The 29-year-old former Chelsea attacker scored in the 20th minute to help Liverpool to a 3-0 win against 10-man Leeds.
It was Salah’s 100th Premier League goal.
Neville said on his podcast: “We talk about Cristiano Ronaldo being single-minded to score goals, and that’s what Salah is. He is single-minded, more single-minded than Firmino and Mane.”
The Englishman added: “He is absolutely outstanding.”
One of the best
Ronaldo is one of the greatest players of all time and is a living legend.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star is arguably the greatest goalscorer of all time.
Salah is of course not at that level, but the Liverpool star is a world-class footballer and one of the best goalscorers around.
Remember, Salah is a winger-turned-forward who scores.
The Liverpool star is not a ‘natural’ striker.
For Liverpool to win the Premier League and the Champions League this season, Salah will have to continue to bang in the goals for fun.
