Some Arsenal fans have been drooling over Charlie Patino after his performance for the U21s.
Yes, the international break may have interrupted top-level football, but there’s still plenty of youth action to watch, and the Gunners faced off against Swindon on Tuesday in the Papa John’s Trophy.
The young Gunners lost 2-1 on the day, but that doesn’t mean that there weren’t a few quality performances to digest from the London club.
Indeed, some of the young talent on display was mesmerising, and one player, in particular, caught the eye, and that’s Patino.
Patino has been highlighted as a future star for quite some time now, and on Tuesday he showed exactly why some people within the club are expecting big things from the midfielder.
He looks so comfortable on the ball and he’s a fantastic passer, leading to many supporters comparing him to the likes of Liam Brady, Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla.
One fan even went as far as to compare him to Manchester City legend David Silva.
