Tottenham Hotspur fans would like to see Tanguy Ndombele handed a start against Crystal Palace, after Oliver Skipp was forced off injured for England U21’s on Tuesday.

It is a blow for Spurs that Skipp might face time on the sidelines because he has been key man to their 100% start to the new Premier League season.

It seemed as though Skipp was holding his groin as he hobbled off against Kosovo during England U21’s 2-0 win in their Euro 2023 qualifier.

And if Skipp is indeed missing for Palace on Saturday, then Spurs fans would like to see Ndombele brought back to the fold.

Only a couple of weeks ago, it seemed as though his career in North London was going to come to an end – however, he stayed at the club this summer.

But this is surely the ample time for him to turn things around because he has done that before at Spurs.

Of course, Ndombele isn’t the only option for Nuno Espirito Santo, he can also turn to Harry Winks.

Then there is the option of pushing Dele Alli deeper into midfield and playing another attack-minded player behind Harry Kane.

Or he can push Eric Dier further forward, but then that would disrupt the strong start he has had alongside Davinson Sanchez at the heart of the club’s defence.

Either way, there are sections of the Spurs fans base who think this is now Ndombele’s time.

The Frenchman hasn’t featured for Nuno this term, but surely this opens the door?

But if Skipp is fine for the weekend, or by next week then he might have to resort to earning minutes in the Europa Conference League instead.

Here is a selection of Spurs fans wanting Ndombele to be brought back:
