Sarah Harding passes away aged 39

Former girl-band member Sarah Harding revealed in 2020 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, which then spread to other parts of her body.

Harding then disclosed that she had been told it’d be her ‘last Christmas’, later admitting that she had been in denial about her health. The star wrote: “I was aware that I needed to get this health issue sorted, but with everything that was going on, it was tough.

“One day I woke up realising that I’d been in denial about the whole thing. Yes, there was a lockdown, yes, there was a pandemic, but it was almost as if I’d been using that as an excuse not to face up to the fact that something was very wrong.”

Sarah Harding’s mother announced the singer’s saddening passing via Instagram, posting a black and white image.

Sarah Harding’s funeral plans before passing explained

It has recently come to light that Harding had somewhat discussed funeral plans before she passed.

As per Entertainment Daily, the 39-year-old’s autobiography, Hear Me Out, detailed how she came to terms with her breast cancer diagnosis.

The singer wrote: “It’s strange, I keep thinking about funerals at the moment.

“It might sound morbid, but it’s hard not to at this stage: cemeteries, plots, burials, what kind of send-off I’d like and how it would all go. It’s all there front and centre in my mind.”

Adding a sense of humour, Harding continued: “I’ve also thought about an epitaph for my grave. I’m thinking ‘FFS’ might be a good one. It’s probably been my most used phrase throughout this, with one crappy event following another.”

The Girls Aloud star also added that she’d like a party after her death to “say thank you and goodbye.”
