Goal journalist Charles Watts has said on his YouTube channel that Thomas Partey will be involved for Arsenal in their Premier League game against Norwich City.
Partey did not feature for Arsenal in their recent behind-closed-doors friendly match against Brentford.
The 28-year-old Ghana international defensive midfielder has yet to play for Arsenal this season due to an ankle injury.
Goal journalist Watts has said that people close to Partey have told him that the defensive midfielder will be involved for the Gunners against the Canaries at the Emirates Stadium next weekend.
Watts said on his YouTube channel: “People I have spoken to who are close to Thomas Partey, they still think he has got a chance of playing or being involved against Norwich, whether that be on the bench, I probably think it would be.”
Encouraging for Arsenal fans
Partey had injury problems last season, but when fit and on form, the defensive midfielder was a force to be reckoned with.
The former Atletico Madrid star is one of the first names on the Arsenal teamsheet when fit, and manager Mikel Arteta will know fully well how important he is to his side.
Partey is unlikely to start against Norwich, but him being fit enough to even be on the substitutes’ bench will be very encouraging for a side who have lost all three of their Premier League games and have conceded as many as nine goals.
