Michel Vorm has reacted on Steven Bergwijn’s Instagram after the Tottenham winger helped Holland record a comfortable 4-0 win over Montenegro in their World Cup qualifier on Saturday.

The former Spurs goalkeeper told his fellow countryman ‘bro, keep pushing’ after a substitute appearance for his country.

Holland have a fight on their hands in Group G, and to earn that golden ticket to Qatar, because they are sitting in second place on ten points.

They are one point behind leaders Turkey and level with third-placed Norway, who have Erling Braut Haaland trying to fire them to glory.

Nonetheless, Louis Van Gaal provided Tottenham’s £27 million man (BBC Sport) with around 20 minutes yesterday, as he picked up a yellow card during his time on the pitch.

This is what he posted on Instagram, with the three-word response from Vorm, and several emoji messages from his fellow countryman.

It perhaps wasn’t a surprise to Bergwijn or any Spurs supporters, but over the summer, he was left out of his country’s Euro 2020 squad.

When you only manage to score one Premier League goal all season, and struggle to cement your place in a declining Tottenham side, then it’s understandable why that call was made by Frank de Boer.

But the former Crystal Palace boss is no longer the Dutch boss and it seems as though Van Goal has offered the Spurs man a new slate.

Under Nuno Espirito Santo, he has been one of his side’s standout performers, as the North London club have a 100% start to the new campaign.
