Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has raved about Manchester City star Raheem Sterling in The Guardian.
Alexander-Arnold and Sterling are England international teammates.
The Liverpool right-back has been impressed by the evolution of the 26-year-old, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
The 22-year-old has also said that Sterling is a role model and is a world-class footballer.
Alexander-Arnold told The Guardian: “The way Raheem’s evolved from a boy to a man has been spectacular.
“He’s a role model for everyone around the country. A role model for me, definitely. Raheem’s turned himself into a world-class player and a world-class person.”

Getting better after Liverpool exit
Not many players leave Liverpool and get better.
Sterling has actually improved and progressed a lot since he left Liverpool for City back in 2015.
As reported by BBC Sport at the time, the Citizens paid £44 million for the Englishman.

It is safe to safe that Sterling has repaid that fee in full.
The 26-year-old has improved under City manager Pep Guardiola and has added goals to his game.
Sterling scored 10 goals in the Premier League last season, 20 in 2019-20 and 17 in 2018-19.
The City no.7 also found the back of the net thrice for England at the Euro 2020 finals this summer.
It is really great to see Alexander-Arnold publicly praise Sterling, who deserves all the plaudits that he gets for how well he has done on the pitch and progressed since leaving Liverpool.
Sterling has won the Premier League title thrice, the FA Cup once, and the EFL Cup on four occasions with City so far.
