The Sun have reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers plan to make Adama Traore their highest paid player after interest from Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur.
What’s the story?
It has been reported by The Sun that Tottenham failed with two offers for Traore in the summer transfer window.
Spurs’ second and final bid was £30 million.
Wolves were looking for £50 million for the 25-year-old.
And now, with the summer transfer window close, the Wanderers are reportedly planning to hand Traore a new deal.
The terms
The Sun have reported that Wolves are willing to hand Traore a new four-year contract worth £120,000 per week.
It will make the former Aston Villa winger the highest paid player at Wolves and will see him earn more than Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.
The Spanish winger is on £55,000-a-week salary at the moment.

Wolves stay
Wolves are an established club in the Premier League and, like they showed in the summer transfer window, they are not in desperate need to raise cash.
Traore has a contract at the Wanderers, who know how important the 25-year-old is to the team.
Now, of course, there is always the chance that Spurs could make another bid in the January transfer window, but if Wolves did not sell him in the summer, then it is unlikely that they will cash in on him in the middle of the season.
