Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have responded to Harry Kane’s post on Twitter and have urged him to bring Kieran Trippier back to Spurs.
What’s the story?
Tottenham striker Kane and Atletico Madrid right-back Trippier are part of the England squad for this month’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
The two players have been training ahead of tomorrow’s match against Andorra.
Kane has posted a photo and a tweet of him in training with his former Tottenham teammate Trippier.
What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans have responded to Kane’s post and have asked him to bring Trippier back to Spurs.
Well, some of them anyway.
The 30-year-old right-back left Tottenham for Atletico in 2019 and won the La Liga title last season.
The defender was linked with Arsenal and Manchester United in the summer transfer window, but no moves materialised and he is still at Atletico.
Spurs signed Emerson Royal from Barcelona in the summer transfer window and are not in any need for a new right-back.
Moreover, Trippier is 30 now, and it is hard to see Tottenham sign a player of that age next summer.
