Curtis Woodhouse has said on Twitter that Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood could soon replace Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the England team.

Former Sheffield United and England Under-21 international midfielder Woodhouse made the comments about Kane and Greenwood while watching the Tottenham striker in action for the Three Lions against Hungary last night.

The 28-year-old Spurs star scored in the second half, as England eased past Hungary 4-0 away from home in the 2022 World Cup qualifier.

Woodhouse believes that United and England international forward Greenwood will eventually take over from Kane.

Should Harry Kane be worried?

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League.

After all, the Englishman has found the back of the net 166 times in 247 Premier League so far in his career.

The 28-year-old has also scored 39 times for England.

Yes, Greenwood is a very talented and promising young forward, but he is only 19.

Kane is also the England captain.

For now, the Tottenham striker need not worry about losing his place in the England team.

Moreover, remember, Kane is also able to drop deep and operate as a number 10 now.

Greenwood can certainly become a big player for England in the coming years, but for now, Kane’s importance to the team cannot be and should not be undermined.
