Northern Ireland winger Jordan Jones only recently moved on from Ibrox, joining Wigan Athletic earlier this summer, but it hasn’t taken long for Jone to be reunited with Rangers legend Steven Davis while on international duty.

Jones shared a picture of the two during the current international break as he caught up with his former Rangers teammate ahead of the Green and White Army’s upcoming triple-header.

Northern Ireland play Lithuania tonight, Estonia on Sunday then Switzerland on Wednesday night as Davis will be looking to add to his record caps tally and get their World Cup qualifying campaign off to a strong start.

The veteran Rangers midfielder has been a near-constant presence in the side this season already and Gers boss Steven Gerrard will be hoping he returns to Glasgow without any knocks or niggles.

Jones has made six appearances for Wigan since moving south over the summer as the Northern Irish winger begins his post-Rangers career.

A stint in League One with Sunderland last season means Jones should be reasonably familiar with the teams in England’s third tier.

With two massive World Cup qualifiers sandwiching a friendly against Estonia, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Davis miss the Sunday trip to the Baltics.
