We’re so used to being able to binge a season of TV in its entirety that it can feel like an ordeal just waiting for the next episode to air when they don’t drop simultaneously.
Before the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video etc. this was pretty much how it always used to be. Patience was essential and it was a welcome treat to finally sit down to a brand new installment of a favourite show.
While most streaming services drop the majority of TV season episodes simultaneously, there are some series that make the audience anticipate the next chapter. Indeed, Only Murders in the Building is one of them.
Created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, this American comedy gem reached viewers on Tuesday, August 31st 2021, or rather, a handful of episodes did.
US audiences can check out episodes 1 through 3 on Hulu, while UK audiences have been able to see episodes 1 through 2 on Disney+.
With fans eager for more in both territories, let’s highlight the Only Murders in the Building episode 3 and 4 release date…
Only Murders in the Building episode 3 and 4 release date
- Disney+ subscribers can check out episode 3 of Only Murders in the Building on Tuesday, September 7th 2021. Over on Hulu, on the other hand, episode 4 will arrive on the same date.
Episodes 3 and 4 are titled ‘How Well Do You Know Your Neighbors’ and ‘The Sting’, respectively.
It was believed that the first three episodes would arrive on both services on Tuesday, August 31st 2021. However, only the first two are currently available on Disney+.
In the three central roles, we have Steve Martin (Planes, Trains and Automobiles), Martin Short (Saturday Night Live), and Selena Gomez (The Dead Don’t Die). They star as true crime enthusiasts who suddenly find themselves entangled in an escalating case.
Episodes are set to air weekly on both streaming services and there are 10 installments in total.
Taking this into consideration, US audiences can expect to be wrapped up with the series on Tuesday, October 19th, while UK viewers will be invited to witness the conclusion on Tuesday, October 26th 2021.
Fans can expect to meet a host of exciting characters each week. Speaking of which…

“It was a joy!”
Sharing her insight, the show’s editor – JoAnne Yarrow – recently spoke with 25 Years Later about her experience working on the project:
“It was a joy! It was this gem that came to me in the middle of a pandemic and brought me so much laughter and light and the creators, John Hoffman and Steve Martin are equally warm. I had not read a comedy script like that in probably ever. Dan Fogelman was a producer and Jamie Babbit directed the first two of the ten episodes, so those were all incredible people to work with.”
She added: “When I saw the dailies with these icons that I grew up watching and loving, I had to pinch myself that I was even allowed to be in this position.”
Only Murders in the Building is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+.
