Atalanta are still far from agreeing to terms with Sassuolo for the Deadline Day transfer of rumoured Crystal Palace, Everton and Leeds target Jeremie Boga, per TuttoMercatoWEB.
La Dea accelerated their pursuit of the Ivory Coast winger on Monday evening and seemed set to strike a deal. However, the Gewiss Stadium hierarchy have refused to pay Sassuolo their asking price in full. Throwing any deal for the 24-year-old into doubt on Tuesday.
Atalanta now face a serious challenge if they are to sign Boga before the window slams shut. Yet their struggles will offer Crystal Palace, Everton and Leeds renewed hope of bringing the France-born forward to England.

Reports by the Daily Mail claimed Crystal Palace, Everton and Leeds all want to sign Boga from Sassuolo this summer. Yet Atalanta were the first to bid, with Gian Piero Gasperini’s side offering £15.5m for the three-cap international.
But the Neroverdi want €30m (£26m) and rejected an improved offer of €23m (£20m) from Atalanta for Boga, per Le10 Sport. While Gianluca Di Marzio reported Crystal Palace also tested the waters this Monday with an offer of their own.
Crystal Palace, Everton and Leeds now face a race against time if they are to step in and beat Atalanta to signing Boga from Sassuolo. The Chelsea product has one assist after two appearances this season, after offering two and four goals in 28 outings last term.
Crystal Palace offered new hope of Boga deal amid Atalanta plight
Atalanta refusing to pay Sassuolo’s asking price and risking a deal for Boga falling through offers Crystal Palace, Everton and Leeds renewed hope of a deal. But Patrick Vieira’s side will take the most joy from La Dea’s plight after their bid earlier this week.
Di Marzio did not claim how much the Eagles’ offered for the forward, whose pace can tear defences apart. Vieira could now ramp up Crystal Palace’s pursuit to beat Atalanta, Everton and Leeds to prising Boga away from Sassuolo.
And all suitors will want to move quick as the market will open for Boga over the coming months. His contract at the Mapei Stadium expires next summer, so will be free to begin negotiating pre-contracts from January. A situation his 2021 admirers may want to avoid.
