Tottenham Hotspur are keeping close tabs on the situation of Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard ahead of the transfer deadline.
That’s according to the Daily Record, who claim that Tottenham are ‘watching developments’ on Edouard’s future ahead of the transfer window slamming shut.
Everton, Crystal Palace and Brighton are all thought to be keen on signing Edouard, with a bidding war underway between the three clubs.
Intriguingly though, Tottenham are thought to be lurking in the shadows with Fabio Paratici keen on Edouard.
Tottenham are no longer in the market for a big-money striking addition like Dusan Vlahovic or Lautaro Martinez now Harry Kane is staying put.
Instead, Paratici may look to bring in support for Kane and Son Heung-min by adding competition for places – and Edouard could be seen as a bargain.
The Frenchman is now into the final year of his contract at Parkhead, and it’s highly unlikely that he will sign a new deal to stay with the Bhoys.

This may be Celtic’s last chance to get a good fee in for Edouard, with a £15million price tag suggested.
That’s a fraction of the price Vlahovic or Martinez would have cost, and it will now be interesting to see whether Tottenham do swoop in and move for Edouard, or simply sit back and watch their Premier League rivals scrap it out.
Edouard, 23, has smashed 86 goals and 39 assists in 179 games for Celtic, whilst he has been branded ‘world class’ by Celtic teammate David Turnbull.
A Premier League move seems like the most logical next step, but Edouard may have to decide whether he wants a big move to Tottenham but maybe sit on the bench more often than not, or go where he would play regularly.
