Arsenal utility man Ainsley Maitland-Niles is attracting major interest from Everton – and he has taken to Instagram to make it clear that he wants out.

Maitland-Niles played a key role under Mikel Arteta in the FA Cup success last year, and was convinced into staying with the club despite an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

You would therefore assume that Maitland-Niles would play a key role moving forward… nope.

Maitland-Niles rarely gets a chance for Arsenal and spent the second half of last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion.

Everton now want to sign Maitland-Niles, seeing him as great competition at both right back and in central midfield as Rafael Benitez seeks new signings.

Arsenal seemingly have no use for Maitland-Niles right now, but The Mirror claim that the Gunners have still decided to block a move.

Everton wanted a loan deal with a permanent option for next summer, yet Arsenal have unbelievably decided to prevent the 24-year-old from leaving before tomorrow’s deadline.

There could be another U-turn to come yet, especially as Maitland-Niles has now taken to Instagram to post an angry message about his situation.

Maitland-Niles suggested that he just wants to go where he is valued and will play, seemingly feeling that isn’t the case at Arsenal.

Arsenal fans are not impressed at all, and have been taking to Twitter to claim that the club is ‘finished’ with players publicly airing their grievances.

Others called the situation ‘absolutely shocking’, believing something is really wrong at Arsenal as the club is a ‘shambles’ right now.
