Some Watford fans react to Moussa Sissoko’s debut against Tottenham

Watford fans reacted on Twitter to Moussa Sissoko’s debut against Tottenham on Sunday.

At the start of this week, Sissoko was still a Tottenham player, but such is the speed of the transfer window, he left the club for Vicarage Road on Friday and was playing against them today.

It was a 1-0 defeat for the Hornets, as Heung-Min Son scored the only goal of the game, as there was a mixed reaction to Sissoko’s display.

But the Watford supporters were mainly positive about the hard-hitting Frenchman, who was a popular figure in North London.

Given that Sissoko hasn’t had much time to settle in his new environment, a selection of Watford fans felt that he did pretty well in that regard.

At one stage during the match, Sissoko ended up firing the ball straight at his former boss, Nuno Espirito Santo as he was trying to clear the ball.

It was all accidental, of course, but hilarious, nonetheless, as Nuno took it pretty well to the amusement of the home crowd.

Whilst Spurs sit top of the Premier League table, the task facing Sissoko at his new club is a different one altogether.

He has gone from a team hoping to finish in Europe this season to one that will be battling to stay in England’s top-flight.

But Sissoko, who has Premier League and international experience, is a perfect fit for Watford, who are known to be a physical outfit.
