Tottenham Hotspur duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso risk the wrath of the club as they potentially defy the travel ban.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the Argentinian FA are now confident that both Romero and Lo Celso will be playing for them in the international break.
The Premier League announced just a matter of days ago that they had implemented a blanked decision to not release their players to red-list countries.
Frustration over how long players would have to quarantine after returning from international games resulted in Premier League clubs deciding not to release them at all.
It’s now thought that Argentinian players are set to defy the announcement and travel to play for their country against Venezuela, Brazil and Bolivia.
Aston Villa duo Emiliano Martinez and Emiliano Buendia are set to travel, and it’s now thought that Tottenham pair Romero and Lo Celso will do the same.
If Lo Celso and Romero do go, which Tottenham wouldn’t confirm, they would be required to isolate in a government hotel for 10 days after returning to the UK.

It’s stated that they would then miss games against Crystal Palace, Rennes and possibly even Chelsea, depending on when they actually come back.
They could be available to face Wolves in the Carabao Cup on the 21st of September, but whether they would be thrown in after sitting in a hotel is another matter.
Romero has just arrived this summer whilst Lo Celso is fighting for a place in Nuno’s midfield, and heading off with Argentina – against Tottenham’s wishes – could set them back.
