VVN Venlo director of football Stan Valckx has said that Georgios Giakoumakis could be about to join Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic, as quoted in The Scottish Sun.
Valckx has said that Celtic and Venlo have agreed a transfer fee for the striker.
The Venlo official has added that it is now up to Giakoumakis to agree personal terms with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.
The Scottish Sun are reporting that Celtic will pay £2.1 million for the striker.
Valckx is quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun: “We have agreed a transfer fee with Celtic. It’s now up to the player himself to discuss terms with the club for the deal to be completed.”

Celtic transfer imminent?
Valckx’s comments suggest that Giakoumakis’s transfer to Celtic is about to happen.
The summer transfer window closes on Tuesday, so the deal will have to be completed by then.
Inside Futbol have claimed that the striker will travel to Glasgow to complete the transfer after undergoing a medical.

The 26-year-old Greece international is a very good striker who has a strong record for Venlo.
Giakoumakis scored 26 goals and gave one assist in 30 starts in the Dutch Eredivie last season.
The striker will make Celtic better and more potent in attack and will give manager Postecoglou another option.
The Hoops are aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title this season and will also play in the Europa League.
