Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said on Sky Sports News (12:53pm, August 28, 2021) that Harvey Elliott will be a massive player for the Reds in the coming years.

Klopp has raved about the 18-year-old winger, and believes that he will be a key player for Liverpool for years to come.

The Liverpool boss said about Elliott on Sky Sports News (12:53pm, August 28, 2021): “I don’t worry about that, where he will be in the next few years. He will be here, he will be a Liverpool player, and he will play a tremendous number of games.”

Big future ahead

Elliott is a winger by trade, but Liverpool manager Klopp has deployed him in midfield.

Now, of course, the former Fulham youngster is not the second coming of Georginio Wijnaldum and is a winger by trade.

But the English teenager has done well in that role, and maybe Klopp could make him a regular in midfield.

As you can understand from Klopp’s comments, Elliott is rated very highly by the Liverpool manager.

A word of caution now.

It is important not to get carried away with Elliott just yet.

We should let the teenager progress and develop at his own pace and must not be too harsh on the mistakes that he makes.

And, yes, Elliott will make mistakes, just like all footballers do.

What is important for the Liverpool teenager now is that he enjoys his football and is allowed to express himself on the pitch.
