What’s the story?
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Tottenham director Paratici is now in Barcelona to try to sign Moriba for Spurs.
The 18-year-old central midfielder himself is attracted to Tottenham, but he has an agreement with RB Leipzig.
Now, the youngster is evaluating all possibilities, including ‘reversing’ the agreement with Leipzig.
Tottenham are ready to meet Barcelona’s transfer demands.
What’s the problem?
However, there is one potential problem, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Spanish news outlet have claimed that Tottenham are not willing to pay a lot in commission to Moriba’s agents.
This could be an issue.
Could a Tottenham transfer happen?
That Paratici is reportedly in Barcelona to compete the deal suggests that it is getting very serious now.
It does appear that Tottenham could be able to reach an agreement over this transfer.
Moriba is attracted to Spurs, who will now have to convince him why a switch to the North London club would be good for his development and progress as a footballer.
