Speaking on the Where’s Jeff? Podcast, Arsenal legend Charlie Nicholas has been praising reported Tottenham Hotspur target Adama Traore.

It’s no secret that Spurs want to sign Traore before the deadline, with many sources now reporting that the London club are looking at a move.

However, before Traore thinks about a move to north London, he has the small matter of a game against Manchester United to deal with this weekend.

Nicholas believes United will beat the Midlands outfit, but he’s highlighted Traore as a player that could make the difference for the Molineux outfit.

What’s been said?

Nicholas was previewing Wolves vs Manchester United.

“Yeah, I’m going along with that one. I think Manchester United will be too strong here. Traore we know he is so unpredictable, and he can make great things happen, and I think he thrives in big games. He could be sold next week when the transfer window closes anyway,” Nicholas said.

Perfect for Spurs

The ability to make something happen and turn up in big games is exactly what Spurs need.

Traore certainly thrives in a big occasion. He was consistently one of Wolves’ better performances during their Europa League campaign in 2019/20, while he’s been a thorn in top six clubs’ sides for a long time now.

For far too long Spurs have wilted in these big matches, but perhaps that will change if they manage to sign Traore.

It remains to be seen whether or not the London club can get this one over the line.
