Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk has collaborated with Liquid Death Mountain Water, and it doesn’t get much more personal than this. The limited-edition skateboard decks are set to be decorated with paint infused with Hawk’s own blood!

Hawk donated a reported 100 vials of blood for the project – talk about dedication!

What is Liquid Death?

Liquid Death Mountain Water is a water company with the motto: “murder your thirst.” We think that pretty much sets the tone.

As per the company website, their manifesto reads: “We’re just a funny water company who hates corporate marketing as much as you do. Our evil mission is to make people laugh and get more of them to drink more water more often, all while helping to kill plastic pollution.”

Along with selling water, Liquid Death also offer an apparel line, including t-shirts, hats and sweatshirts.

Liquid Death X Tony Hawk collaboration explored

Have you ever wanted to own a piece of the Birdman? It sounds a little creepy, but it’s possible!

In collaboration with Liquid Death, Tony Hawk is set to release skateboard decks decorated with blood-infused paint. As per Liquid Death’s website, Hawk’s blood is ‘harvested straight from the source’, before being sanitized and then screen-printed in Southern California.

Each $500 board comes with a certificate of authenticity, but only 100 are being made – and they’re already all sold out!

The proceeds from the collaboration will go directly to an anti-plastic nonprofit and The Skateboard Project.

In the promo video, Hawk says: “So if you have my blood, that means you have my DNA.

“Apparently I didn’t read the fine print and now Liquid Death officially owns my soul, and my blood, too.”

Twitter reacts to skateboard collaboration

The concept for the collaboration sure is wild. Here’s how users over on Twitter are reacting:

One user tweeted: “Similar to what the @AllBlacks and @adidas did for fans with blood-infused posters. Love the thinking behind this.”

Another wrote: “This is so cool yet so creepy! Haha.”

Somebody else took to Twitter to write: “huh that’s crazy!”
