Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Weston McKennie before the transfer deadline, and Juventus have now agreed for Axel Witsel to replace him.
That’s according to Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that Borussia Dortmund ace Witsel has already agreed to joining the Turin giants.
However, Witsel’s move would only happen if McKennie leaves the club for Tottenham, with Fabio Paratici’s interest described as ‘strong’.
Paratici was in charge of transfers at Juventus when they took McKennie on loan from Schalke, which became permanent earlier this year.
It’s therefore no great surprise that Paratici wants to sign McKennie again, this time to bolster the Tottenham squad.
McKennie, 22, played 34 times in Serie A last season, starring under Andrea Pirlo with five goals and two assists from midfield.
It now looks like McKennie is expendable under Massimiliano Allegri, and could head to the Premier League with Tottenham.

Antonio Conte allegedly picked out McKennie as a player he wanted at Tottenham before rejecting the managerial role with Spurs, but Paratici is targeting him regardless.
Branded ‘relentless’ by former United States Under-20 coach Tab Ramos, McKenine is a hard worker and is very strong in the middle of the park.
Time is running out for Tottenham to get a deal done for McKennie, but with Juventus already agreeing to sign his replacement, it looks like Paratici could get his man.
