Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter after Matteo Guendouzi compared the atmosphere between the Emirates Stadium and the Stade Vélodrome.
What’s the story?
Well, it’s safe to say that Guendouzi prefers playing in front of the Marseille supporters instead of the Arsenal fans.
The Daily Mail quote the 22-year-old as saying: “The Marseille fans are incomparable. At Arsenal, there’s a big stadium, but it’s totally different.
“The best atmosphere is here. It’s incredible to play in front of a crowd like this. It really lifts the players.”
Now, it’s not the worst thing in the world to say.
However, Guendouzi probably should’ve expected some backlash given the fact he’s still contracted to Arsenal.
To say that the supporters of your loan side are incomparably better than the fans of your parent club was always going to go down poorly.
Coupled with Guendouzi’s behaviour before Mikel Arteta shipped him out, he’s not really doing much to get into the fanbase’s good books.
Should Arsenal keep Matteo Guendouzi?

In our view, this season could make or break Guendouzi’s Arsenal career.
Arteta doesn’t seem to be his biggest fan, and sent him away from north London after the Frenchman left his boss deeply unimpressed with his conduct away at Brighton, according to Football London.
The Spaniard gave Guendouzi plenty of chances to make amends, although Football London believe the midfielder chose not to take them.

Now, he finds himself on a season-long loan at Marseille, after spending time with Hertha Berlin last term, where he was nearly relegated.
If Guendouzi fails to display some maturity in his game this season, it could be curtains for him at the Emirates Stadium.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about the youngster’s comments…
