Sadly, hockey player Jimmy Hayes was pronounced dead on Monday (23rd August) morning, according to PEOPLE.

The cause of Hayes’ death is still undetermined, at the time of publishing. His death is not being treated as suspicious.

Hayes first entered the NHL (National Hockey League) scene in 2008 when he was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs. In 2011, the athlete made his debut with Chicago Blackhawks.

The sports star was just 31-years-old at the time of his passing.

In light of her husband’s sad passing, Kristen has taken to social media to pay tribute to Jimmy.

Via an Instagram story, the athlete’s wife uploaded a photo of Hayes, writing: “My angel. I love you so much. I miss you. I don’t know how I’m going to do life without you. You should be here. This isn’t fair.”
