Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is demanding wages of around £130,000-a-week in order to leave the club amid interest from West Ham United.
That’s according to The Guardian, who claim that West Hama area ready to pay £25million to bring Zouma from West London to East London.
However, Zouma’s wage demands have cast some doubt over the deal, with West Ham unsure about paying the defender’s high demands.
Zouma wants £130,000-a-week, a massive increase on the £46,000-a-week he allegedly earns at Chelsea right now.
West Ham now need to decide whether or not to pay that kind of cash, especially as they need attackers as well as defenders.
Zouma wants first-team football, and that just isn’t going to happen at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel went with Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger against Arsenal on Sunday, with Zouma nowhere near the starting lineup.

Chelsea want to use the funds from selling Zouma to help sign Jules Kounde, with Zouma unwilling to be part of a swap deal for his fellow Frenchman.
Sky Sports note that Tottenham Hotspur also want to sign Zouma, but it looks like West Ham are now in the lead.
Chelsea don’t exactly like dealing with Tottenham, and that could play into West Ham’s hands – if they agree to pay those wages.
