Rostov midfielder Mathias Normann doesn’t want a move to Norwich City this summer amid links with a move to Newcastle United.
That’s according to Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang, who claim that Norwich offered around £2million to take Normann on loan.
Norwich would then paid £12million to turn the move permanent next summer if they stayed in the Premier League, taking the move up to £14million.
Rostov rejected that notion, claiming the permanent move had to be made regardless of Norwich’s fate.
Normann allegedly isn’t that keen on Norwich anyway, given that he doesn’t want to risk playing in the Championship next season.
Talks are now at a standstill, meaning another club could swoop in and sign Normann before next week’s transfer deadline.
Sevilla and Newcastle are allegedly interested, with the Magpies surely in a great position now a move to Norwich looks unlikely.

The Magpies have paid up for one midfielder in Joe Willock, but Norwegian international Normann is more defensively-minded than Willock.
Normann is strong, works hard up and down the pitch and has ability on the ball in terms of passing and even beating players with quick feet.
Those attributes would be welcomed at Newcastle, and Steve Bruce’s men will surely be looking to firm up their interest over the next week.
