According to Il Secolo XIX, Liverpool had a scout present to watch Mikkel Damsgaard in action for Sampdoria against AC Milan on Monday.

Well, after a stunning EURO 2020, the 21-year-old is said to be wanted by a number of Premier League clubs.
However, it’s Liverpool who appear to be keen to get a better look at Damsgaard, with just a week until the transfer window ends.

With Liverpool eyes on him, the Dane actually played quite well against AC Milan on Monday.
As WhoScored shows, the wonderkid registered two key passes against the Italian giants.
Damsgaard also completed two successful dribbles, and was fouled on two occasions.
Sampdoria’s hardworking No.38 also made three successful tackles, which will surely interest Klopp given his gegenpressing ethos.
Sadly, Damsgaard only completed 67.4% of his passes, although it was still a bright display nevertheless.
With Liverpool scouts in attendance at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, some positive notes were surely left on Klopp’s desk this morning.
