Gabriel Jesus will stay at Manchester City even if Harry Kane joins from Tottenham Hotspur, according to Eurosport.
What’s the story?
Eurosport are reporting today (11am) that City manager Pep Guardiola will keep Jesus even if he signs Kane from Premier League rivals Tottenham.
Guardiola is very happy with Jesus’s ‘application and form’ and does not want the 24-year-old Brazil international striker to leave this summer.
City reportedly remain keen on signing Kane in the final days of the summer transfer window.
What should Gabriel Jesus do?
The report in Eurosport claims that Jesus is seen as a good option out wide rather than as a striker.
If that is the case, then the Brazilian would not be played centrally if Kane joins.
Would Jesus be happy with that?

Now, of course, City are a massive and rich club, but Jesus is 24 now.
If the Brazilian wants to play as a central striker and wants to be recognised as a goalscorer, then playing out wide would not help him in his career.
However, if Jesus is happy playing out wide and being the assist-provider rather than the goalscorer, then staying at the Etihad Stadium and playing for the Premier League champions would make sense.
The Brazilian has scored 50 goals in 133 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
