Kid Cudi fans are flooding social media with tributes to the rapper’s late dog, Freshie.

The artist penned a lengthy goodbye to his beloved pet.

Taking to social media, rapper Kid Cudi announced the sad passing of his dog, Freshie, to fans.

Cudi shared a lengthy goodbye note, starting: “I got some sad news yall. Freshie is gone. He left us a few days ago peacefully at home surrounded by people that love him, his family.

“I held his hand and whispered in his ear to let him know I was still there while he slipped away.”

The rapper revealed that his beloved pet had been in his life since 2010, following him on his journey to success.

The 37-year-old later shared a string of photographs of Freshie as tribute.

They say every cloud has a silver lining.

Although evidently devastated by Freshie’s passing, Kid Cudi announced that he had recorded a track titled ‘FRESHIE’ before the pet’s passing.

In a tweet, the rapper told fans: “Fresh was around for every album since WZRD. He was always there when I recorded at home. He was there for motm3 and this new stuff ive been cookin. The last song i did w him in the studio is called FRESHIE, and I cant wait for u to hear.”

Fans pay tribute to beloved pet

Freshie’s passing seems to have impacted a lot of people.

Fans have taken to social media to send Kid Cudi well wishes and pay respects to the late pooch.

One fan tweeted: “I’m so sorry! I couldn’t stop crying as I read your eulogy for your sweet boy. Freshie was so lucky to have you.”

Another wrote: “Damn man. Sorry for your loss, a struggle like that always hits you hard in the stomach. RIP Fresh.”

Somebody else related: “I just lost my dog last week, the pain is indescribable. Stay strong.”
