Batwoman season 3 will air this fall on The CW and the show will welcome several new cast members, including a Gotham alumni.
Batwoman season 3 is set to arrive in fall 2021 with Javicia Leslie officially assuming the role of the hero, earning yet another achievement for the show.
With Ruby Rose at its season 1 star, the series was the first superhero series with a lesbian protagonist and Javicia taking the baton establishes her as the first female black actress to suit up.
A couple cast members have confirmed to have left the CW series, so who can we expect to debut in the upcoming instalment?

Batwoman season 3: release date
- Batwoman will return on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 9pm ET.
Only a four-month wait is not too shabby for a series, given that the season 2 finale aired in June 2021.
It’s likely season 3 will pick up from Ryan learning that her biological mom did not die after childbirth, so the entire first episode will follow Ryan figuring out whether Alice’s bombshell news is the truth and if so, it’s a storyline that will continue throughout; to have Batwoman juggle personal life with her duties.
Speaking of her duties, although Ryan has overcome major confidence issue, she now has the entire world to scour for the stolen Batman villain trophies/weapons, including Mad Hatter, Penguin and Poison Ivy, which viewers saw sprout on the river bank.
So we’ll definitely see a new cast as any Gotham residents could embody the powers and as showrunner Caroline Dries said, “anyone can literally come and pick them up.”
SPIDER-MAN: No Way Home | Official Teaser Trailer
Batwoman welcomes Victoria Cartagena and more
Victoria Catagena
The 36-year-old actress is just one of the newest additions to the Batwoman world, after season 2 bid farewell to Kate Kane (Wallis Day) as she fully resigns as the female hero in search for her cousin Bruce Wayne, and Jacob Kane (Dougrey Scott) in episode 16.
Deadline announced Victoria’s casting in July 2021 and she will be reprising her role of Renee Montoya from Fox series, Gotham, though the two will not be connected.

Renee is a detective of the Major Crimes Unit in Gotham City Police Department who got caught up in a love affair with Barbara Kean, who was already engaged to James Gordon.
However, she was dropped pretty soon from the show and never made another appearance after season one, which Redditors noticed.
Victoria has since been upgraded to the main cast; as well as her investigative skills to clean the streets of Gotham, there’s potential for romance since she was one of the few LGBTQ+ characters from the FOX TV show.
Robin Givens
Riverdale’s Robin Givens will portray the role of Jada Jet, the boss lady of Jet Industries and while she is a career woman, her irresponsible son Marquis Jet remains her priority. His encounter with a Batman villain during childhood left him with an evil trait that found pleasure in the misery of others.
Jada herself has troubles since she was forced to give up her first born, for currently unknown reasons.
Knowing this, does it mean that Jada is Ryan’s mother? With Ryan’s new knowledge of her estranged mother and Jada not knowing the whereabouts of her child, then the link sounds quite realistic right now. However, there has been no confirmation of this yet.
Nick Creegan
New York native Nick Creegan will play the role of Jada’s reckless son Marquis, which Deadline have described him as “a sexy playboy who grew up in a lavish lifestyle, Marquis is too charming for his own good and wields his power with a ne’er do well attitude”
It’s hinted that he takes a liking for Ryan given their “like-minded young go-getter” attitude, but if he is as spoilt and inconsiderate as stated, then how long will their friendship actually last?
Nick recently portrayed Richie Wheatley Jr. in NBC’s newest Law & Order spin-off, Law & Order: Organized Crime.
