People inside Tottenham Hotspur are discussing the possibility of moving Son Heung-min to play as a striker full-time if Adama Traore joins.

That’s according to Football.London, who claim that this idea has been floated inside the club as Tottenham chase Traore.

Nuno Espirito Santo worked with Traore at Wolverhampton Wanderers, and now wants a reunion in North London before the transfer deadline.

The Telegraph report that Tottenham are trying to set up a £40million deal, taking Traore on loan for a year before paying up in 2022.

Fabio Paratici will be working on that move, which is interesting given that he fancied signing Traore during his time at Juventus.

If Traore does join Tottenham, that would leave Nuno’s wide ranks well-stocked.

Son, Lucas Moura, Steven Bergwijn and new signing Bryan Gil are all wingers by trade, as are Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke.

Yet with Nuno desperate to reunite with Traore, it looks like Tottenham’s way around the issue to convert Son to playing as a striker full-time.

The South Korean ace has mostly played as left-sided winger at Tottenham, but has been played up front in Tottenham’s first two games of the season with Harry Kane out.

Nuno called Son ‘amazing’ just last week, and may now feel that it’s better to bring in Traore and play Son up front rather than sign another striker and send Son back out wide.
